Proper management of production requires a lot of data. Proper data can help us in taking a lot of decision related to production. We must design pathways for data to be captured, recorded, stored, analyzed and reviewed regularly.
• Define data points in the production network.
• Specify which data will be captured, in which format, how frequency and by whom.
• Captured data must be checked, verified, recorded and compiled.
• Summary reports should be generated and shared to the relevant personnel in the production team.
• Ensure checking and reporting of exceptional items, found from these reports.
• Develop a culture of regularly reviewing relevant reports and taking decisions based on the data.
