Management schools or leadership courses can teach us business theory. It can lead to results only when this theory is implemented practically.
If we attend classes of swimming theory and observe for hours how others are swimming, then we may become an expert in observing and discussing swimming. We won’t learn swimming. Without jumping in the pool, the theory of swimming won’t be useful.
So, should we learn theory or not?
Without knowing theory if we jump in the pool, we may be able to swim and float, but we will have to work very hard. We may get tired.
A right mix of management theory and practice is needed for business success.
