Make sure your company doesn’t waste time and money in unnecessarily long meetings.
Meetings are necessary for companies to conduct business, to communicate and to coordinate. But every meeting should run for a specific time period only. In some companies, a meeting which starts with a 15-minute timeline continues for many hours. A lot of precious time is wasted in meaningless discussions.
Remember, when in our company people waste time in meaningless discussions in meetings, they do it at our expense. We pay for that unproductive time also. Make sure that meetings generate more value than the price we pay for the time of the participants. We must stop the wastage of time and money through such unnecessary meetings.
At least, we ourselves should be responsible for such meaningless long meetings.
